Step 1: Register your interest

Register with us to make sure you are constantly aware of all the properties we have available. You will also receive monthly newsletters which will keep you up to date with the latest Robinson & Hall and market news.

Step 2: Finding a property to rent

When looking for suitable properties to rent, it is important to ensure they fall within your requirements. The most important factors tend to be cost, location, size and transport links, however these largely depend on the individual’s preferences.

Step 3: Is your property managed?

Choosing a managed property means that you will benefit from a dedicated lettings expert, who is on hand to deal with any day-to-day issues or answer any questions or queries when they arise. You will also benefit from added peace of mind that the property is compliant with all gas and safety checks as we organise annual checks on the landlord’s behalf.

Step 4: Agreeing the let

It is important to make an offer as soon as you find your perfect property to avoid disappointment as properties don’t hang around for long in today’s market. Make sure you are aware of what’s included in the rent and if necessary, have seen the property’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

At this stage you will be required to complete an application for tenancy where you may state any special conditions of the offer and provide details for your references. We will then communicate this offer to the landlord.

Step 5: Offer agreed

Once your offer has been agreed, you will be required to pay your administration fee so we can process your application and contact references.

Upon receipt of good references we will organise the signing of the tenancy agreement. This is when you will be required to pay your deposit and first month’s rent. To give you additional peace of mind your deposit will be securely placed in the Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme.

Step 6: Moving in

On moving in day you are required to collect the keys from our offices.

Congratulations you are now ready to move in!

To ease the process of moving house we inform the utility companies and council tax on your behalf so you have more time to relax and enjoy your property. If your property is managed by us we will also provide you with all relevant contact details. It is also important to insure your belongings at your rented property.
