Robinson & Hall were instructed to prepare an application for outline planning permission for residential development at a site within an existing village envelope. The site extends to 0.68 hectares and has good frontage onto one of the main arterial highways on the outskirts of Reading. It was identified as a good opportunity for development within the existing planning policy framework.
Once again we were involved in a number of iterations on both layout and design of the proposed dwellings including an architect’s panel review. We also commissioned a number of third party specialist surveys and had to undertake some additional ecological investigations to support the application.
The scheme received a resolution to grant planning permission at Wokingham Borough Council’s Development Management Committee subject to completion of a Section 106 Agreement. Robinson & Hall’s agency team then took the site to the market and contracts have been exchanged considerably in excess of the guide price.
