Award winning tree nursery operator, Majestic Trees, required three rural workers’ dwellings at their Hertfordshire premises in order to provide for the needs of the business and to attract suitably qualified staff to sustain the future growth of the nursery. Robinson & Hall’s planning team provided a comprehensive report to accompany the planning application which set out in full justification for the proposals.
Sarah Churchard, Senior Planner at Robinson & Hall comments, “The Needs Justification Report was instrumental in delivering a successful planning outcome. It was important to ensure that the local planning authority fully appreciated the impact which the proposed dwellings will have on our client’s business.”
Andrew Barr, Head of Planning and Development at Robinson & Hall added, “We have a longstanding involvement with Majestic Trees and we are delighted with the securing of these dwellings which will be integral to the company’s continued success. This is a sensitive site in a Green Belt location and it was crucial to work closely with the Council’s planning officers at all stages to deliver a successful result.”
Since its establishment in 2001 Majestic Trees have seen almost continuous growth and is now a major rural employer in the area. Our planning team is now working on an extension to the company’s main office and reception building together with a number of improvements to the site layout to support the further expansion of the business.
