We have years of experience at Robinson & Hall successfully gaining planning permission for strategic land sites. Our success stories range from small sites of 0.2 hectares to developments of over 100 dwellings.
The first step in the planning process is to promote your site to the local council and we are pleased to confirm that the following councils are on a quest to obtain more sites:
1. Babergh and Mid Suffolk Council – have requested a ‘call for development sites’ that are a minimum of 0.25 hectares or 5 dwellings (no minimum size threshold on self build sites). If you submitted land during the call for sites exercise in 2014 you do not need to re-submit, unless there has been a change to the information provided. The sites submitted can be for housing, employment, community facilities, open space, renewable energy, car parking, gypsy and traveller sites or other uses. Deadline is 15th August.
2. Tendring District Council – their Local Plan has been approved for public consultation. This new Local Plan will guide future development in the Tendring area and is critical for creating new job opportunities, attracting investment in new and improved infrastructure, protecting the environment and ensuring that new homes are built in the right locations and achieve the right standards of quality and design. If you have already submitted your site then we can review the submission to check that further information isn’t required and this is the last chance to suggest new sites. Deadline is 31st August.
3. Colchester Council – their draft planning policy has been published and they are seeking our views on the proposals put forward including proposed development sites and development policies. This is the last opportunity to suggest further sites if you haven’t yet submitted your site for inclusion. Deadline is 31st August.
If you have a site suitable for development, then please contact Peter or Laurie.
