An opportunity has arisen for the right person to join the expanding agency team as Head of Residential Lettings. You will manage a team of three other Lettings Negotiators/Administrators and be responsible for maximising overall income and profitability for the Residential Lettings department.
This is a fantastic role for an experienced lettings professional looking for an exciting new challenge.
Key responsibilities:
- Day to day running and management of the lettings department, including development of your team members
- Manage the letting and management of residential properties, including those on large estates and in local villages
- Carry out market appraisals and take on new instructions to achieve a larger property portfolio
- Maintain a strong relationship with all landlords
- Carry out viewings with prospective tenants and inspections of the portfolio
- Deal with enquiries from applicants daily including walk-ins and telephone and email queries
- Meet personal targets as agreed with the Head of Agency
- Monitor overall and individual performance of all lettings team
- Ensure staff are updating all details on the website/displays with current properties, and any new instructions are advertised promptly and effectively
- Promote additional services to new and existing clients and customers
- Be aware of competitor performance and activity
- Liaise with the Marketing & PR Manager regarding marketing, advertising and touting to optimise instructions
Requirements:
- At least five years’ experience working in the residential lettings industry
- You must be an accomplished Lettings Valuer / Lister / Residential Lettings Manager who can prove a track record for generating new business
- A self-motivated, ambitious, friendly individual who is prepared to put in commitment and hard work to raise the levels of business
- Good self-management with the ability to handle a varied workload, ensuring deadlines are met
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate and negotiate effectively
- Manage staff within the team
- Ability to plan and implement business growth
- Be able to handle a high level of responsibility
- You must have a full UK driving licence
